The Tacoma-Pierce County Bar Association’s Mentorship Committee connects newly or recently admitted lawyers (those in practice less than 5 years) with more seasoned lawyers (those in practice for at least 10 years). Lawyers working in the same or similar areas of practice are paired together so that new lawyers can benefit from having a more seasoned shoulder to lean on as they begin to navigate their career.
The committee asks both Mentors and Mentees to make a one year commitment of monthly contact and to be available by phone for questions. Monthly contact could by phone or in person and could include (but not be limited to) lunch, shadowing at court or another proceeding, and attendance together at a TPCBA event.
For those interested mentors or mentees, download the following forms, fill them out and send your form by mail to: Wendy E. Zicht, Attorney at Law, 2207 North 30th Street, Tacoma, WA 98403.
