The Tacoma-Pierce County Bar Association is an association of more than 1300 lawyers and is located in Pierce County in beautiful downtown Tacoma. Pierce County is an inland area in the northwest part of the state that includes Puget Sound. Formed in 1852, it was named for U.S. President Franklin Pierce. The highest natural point in Washington, Mount Rainer at 14,410 feet, is located in Pierce County.
With a population in excess of 800,000, Pierce County is the second largest county in the state. In downtown Tacoma, there are several major museums that line Tacoma’s downtown core, including the Museum of Glass, LeMay-America’s Car Museum, Washington State History Museum, Tacoma Art Museum, Foss Waterway Seaport, Children’s Museum of Tacoma and the Chihuly Bridge of Glass. The Broadway Center presents world-class artists at the Pantages, Rialto, and Theatre on the Square.
Pierce County offers plenty of Restaurants and Nightlife; as well as many outdoor activities, including a number of Hiking and Biking Trails.
