In May, the New & Young Lawyers Section of the TPCBA sponsors Law Week. The purpose is to educate and inspire those outside the legal profession about the importance of our judicial system in an organized and accountable society. Presentations are made by judges to Tacoma middle and high school students. Over the course of a week, judges speak to over four hundred students. The classroom presentations and discussions inspire many students to examine a career in the field of law and provide a real world context to a judicial system many students are not familiar with.
The Tacoma-Pierce County Bar Association’s Speakers Bureau is an educational service to help students understand how laws affect their lives and how our system works. Pierce County Lawyers will speak on various legal issues of interest to students. Please contact Executive Director Kit Kasner at firstname.lastname@example.org or (253) 272-8871 for more information.
