Local Superior, District, and Municipal Courts have approved the video to be made a part of their juror orientations. As attorneys prepare cases for trial it may be of interest to know that this hidden subject is being addressed and brought to the attention of all potential jurors.

Beginning September 4, attorneys interested in applying for the 2019 Pierce County Superior Court Pro Tem Commissioner List can pick up applications in Superior Court Administration, Room 334 or Commissioner Services Department, Room 140 at the County-City Building or may obtain them from Superior Court website or download it here: 2019 Superior Court Pro Tem Commissioner Application Packet.
**CURRENT PRO TEM COMMISSIONERS MUST APPLY FOR RE-APPOINTMENT**
Applications must be returned to Superior Court Administration, Room 334, no later than 4:30 P.M..October 31. 2018.
*PLEASE NOTE: APPLICATIONS RECEIVED AFTER THE 4:30 P.M. DEADLINE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.*
An applicant must have a minimum of five years of experience in the State of Washington and may not serve as a pro tem commissioner if appointed or serving as a Guardian Ad Litem for compensation under Title LL, 13 or 26.
The Pierce County Superior Court Local Rules Committee hereby submits its proposed rule changes to take effect September 1, 2018.

A NEW EX PARTE SIGN IN PROCESS
The following steps will be required:
- YOU WILL PROCEED FIRST TO THE CLERK’S OFFICE (ROOM 110).
- In the Clerk’s Office there will be a dedicated computer kiosk to electronically sign in for ex parte matters.
- Complete the form on the computer screen. Once completed, the information will be electronically delivered to a queue for the clerk in Room 105.
- Proceed to the Ex Parte Dept (Room 105), and take a seat.
- Your case will be called in the same fashion as always, consistent with Ex Parte Policy, by the courtroom clerk.
